What music do you guys enjoy?

I like about everything except for R&B, I hate that kind of music.
(no idealogical reasons btw, don't missunderstand. But i just hate rap / sing music with all sex explanating lyrics or filled with hate etc etc etc. )

Trance,
Pop,
Classic, (not all of it and certainly no Operah screaming)
Even some hardcore but I hope I don't get banned now

I prefer instrumental stuff... lots of guitars... modern jazz stuff like that.. but I also listen top a lot of contemprary Chirstian music, 50s,60s.t0s.80s music (all genres... funk,jazz,rock,folk Gordon Lightfoot's "If you Could read My Mind" and James taylor's "You gGot a Friend" and "American Pie" were the first songs I learned how to play on guitar. I like some world stuff..... Salif Keta,Joanne Shenandoah, some Klezmer...... Celtic music ROCKS!!and others... all kinds of stuff..

Don't confuse R&B with Rap. R&B, at least true R&B is more like Jazz than Rap. An R&B artist like Luthor Vandross shouldn't be compared to someone liek 50 Cent. That's like calling Frank Sinatra another Axel Rose.

Ok so the lyrics in Hip Hop are all about "everyone elses" girlfriend and pretty predictable with it, they say the same thing over and over.
Hip Hop and Cinema Organ music I just cannot listen to.

i like good music so that means i dont like green day or mettalica or any sort of rap except saul williams. i like rush radiohead tool machnivitsu orchestra manic stret preachers and the simple minds good stuff

Good music is very much within the perception of the listener, but I know what you mean, I have my favorites too.

No banning yet but if you don't like what I like I will ban you!

I like Classical also, it soothes my head on the way to work in the morning, but then again I also play Rammstein a lot also and that also soothes my head some mornings depending on my mood. The rule of thumb is "If it sounds good, it is good." Sometimes this theory needs stretching a little for new unexperienced sounds (Bands), but generally it works well.

Try not to be influenced too much by peers, they have their own taste as well, allow your own tastes to develop as you wish them to.

Ok then young soldier go forth and fight your own battles, and good luck.
