I should be getting a 256mb ATI Radeon 9700 in the mail pretty soon. I decided to upgrade my old integrated Intel 82845G 64mb card becase the next gen games are demanding on that field and my card is "scraping the bucket" in performance.

You'll like that 9700!
Get prepared for gorgeous water, better framerates and upping the anti-aliasing and anisotropic filtering - Radeons are great at that
ooo - and reflection of ships in the water
I recently went from a Ti4800 to a Radeon 9600; it instantly doubled my framerate, even with 6x AA and AnIso 16x
I could not even use AA on the Ti without getting into a slideshow...
Now I'm drooling over a complete new system.
beuh - I need more income lol
thinking of an AMD 64 X2 4200+ with 2GB DDR2 and an XFX 9700GT
Not sure yet but I think I will bust the 1000 euro easy
oh well, maybe it'll still be good enough for SoW:BoB
I'm curious if the AffinityMask will work with dual cores and if it will improve performance...
