Hi Shift, just downloaded QMT 1946, installed it with firewall and anti virus off but the program won't start. I'll see a message which tells me to set the path to Il2, then right away another one that says read the error file. Here is the following message:
Nederlands (Nederland) Start Up
D:\Quick Mission Tuner 1946 Start Up
Windows XP Start Up
Start Up
PaintSchemes\Skins\ Path not found, QMT with not run!

And I don't know what this means, please advise

Hi Shift, don't know what happened; put my message on the forum, logged out, checked V1.97: it worked - it didn't yesterday, that's the reason for looking for a new version - than tried V2.04 and this worked also.
So no need for assistance anymore.

Henkypenky, you are lucky!
Unfortunately I am not. I have exactly the same problem as in your first post. I have got the V.2 from the Shift_E website dtd May 01, 2007 and when I try to start QMT, after the message telling me to set the path to IL2-1946, I get the same error file.

Please can somebody be so kind to help me?

Thanks.

Hey chopperman,

Can you post the error.txt log for me from the install directory for QMT.

Thanks,

Thank you Shift_E for your reply.

The error.txt log is:

Italiano (Italia) Start Up
C:\Programmi\Quick Mission Tuner Start Up
Windows XP Start Up
Start Up
PaintSchemes\Skins\ Path not found, QMT with not run!

Cheers

Hi Chopperman,

Happy to help. If you are comfortable with editing the registry then go to this key:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\DeverseWare\QMT Edit and set the IL2 game path in the key GamePath. My path looks like this 'D:\Program Files\Ubi Soft\IL-2 Sturmovik Forgotten Battles\" without the quotes.

Enjoy,
