Profile does not save correctly

Postby deputysalty on Tue Apr 11, 2006 6:26 pm

Hello. I have downloaded the trial software, and wrote a profile for Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory.

However, once I was done, I hit save. So, I upon it back up, but it is blank! I redid it again, but, once again, after saving, it is blank! I navigated to the profile folder after I saved, finding the profile was only 0 KB in size!

Some other info:
I have a SOCOM Sony Plug-in-Play USB Headset. Works fine for other things.
Have taken about 4 Training Sessions for Voice Recognition.

Hi,

The two things I can think of would be your computer doesn’t have the correct permissions set on the installed folder or you used a character in the profile or action name that Windows didn’t like. If you followed the Quick Start document you shouldn’t have any problems saving a profile. You have to have all the elements that make up an action to be able to save the profile.

Okay.

1. I do have permission, as I am a PC admin.

2. I named it "Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory"

Would ":" be the reason?

Everything else is done correctly

[Sorry for double post]

It works! Once named "Wolfenstein Enemy Territory" it works! I guess the ":" messed it up!

Thanks for the support!

Woot!

Hi,

Yes, it was the ":" since it can't be used in a filename.

Nice work on that catch.
