VAC keeps crashing- please help.

I’m really interested in this VAC program as I find myself busy when I’m trying to give my wingman a command. However, I seem to get getting an error code after the program is running for about 3 min. There’s no point trying to make a profile if all the information is lost after 3 min without saving. Could anyone tell me the proper way to install this program? I’m running on version 1.8.5. I used the full installer since I don’t have anything like Microsoft Speech or whatever, I didn’t go through voice training or anything. If the error message stops showing up, then I can finally convince myself to purchase this product. The error message that keeps popping up is

What I do know is VAC is not the cause of the error, only the messenger.

To figure out what causes the error you could try and run Dr Watson:
Start - Run - type drwtsn32 - click OK
It will start with a dialog. Take note on the directory where it will save it's diagnostic report (generated when an error occurs and is trapped by it) then later you can copy and paste that text here. I tried to find the error in MS Developement Network, but was unsuccessfull too. When an error occurs, DrWatson will trap it and pop-up. It will not stop the error or repair what's causing it but might point the way on what's causing it.

hmmm - It could be VAC has it's own error-trapping routine, Shift_E should know more about that.

please i already ran through the microphone wizard and speech training but the error still persists. I even reinstalled like 3 times but still not luck, even switched to the core install since i found out i have microsoft speed 6.1. I even updated my microsoft script. Could you guys think of any solution or other programs that might be conflicting with this? Or at least tell me how to remove the register file so i can do a clean uninstall. I would hate to give up on this software.

Suggestions

Suggestions FU:

To do a clean uninstall just use add/remove programs to remove. If you have some how borked that then try to re-install and then uninstall with add/remove. Test your mic make sure it works in windows and in other programs. Test your MS Speech 6.1 on its own independant of vac.

Do a check disk and a defrag.

If you have a million programs running in the background shut them off.

Do a clean boot for gods sake.

Try all this crap and let us know bud we will get you going.

(Please tell me you have up to date virus/malware/spyware protection installed)

Fu,

As long as you are clear on something. It is most likely your puters configuration or some other software/hardware conflict error causing your issues not VAC. Vac runs great and If your computer and hardware/software is in good working condition you should have no trouble at all. You may have to look deeper then just discarding the program as that does not solve your issue it only ignores it.

It is kind of like the polititions taking credit because we have not been attacked by terrorists in the US since 9/11.

If I put a white stone in my yard to scare off bears and no bears show up then by this reasoning I could easily claim that it was the white stone that protected me while it might very well have been that it just so happens that no bears wanted to come around. And it had nothing what ever to do with the white stone.

It seems like you are trying to use the same kind of reasoning here.
Don't use the program and you do not have to see that you have a computer issue. Unfortunately that attitude gets nothing done.

I hope you get it sorted soon.

Okay. Are you running the demo version and if so when did you install it?
