No Save button for 1.8.5?

Postby Cor Cordium on Mon Dec 04, 2006 10:47 am

Hello Shift-E:

I have no "Save" button in the lower right corner of the VAC Builder screen.
Only the "Test Phrase" button appears. Consequently, no profiles can be created and saved. As it stands now VAC is useless. This is a terrific program and I'm a purchaser so I'm really disappointed. I've installed, removed, re-installed...all to no purpose. 1.8.5 full. Hope you can help me fix this problem!

Hi CC,

Sorry for the delay in answering, just moved. I've seen this before, make sure you are running at 1024X768 screen resolution. Let me know if that helps.

Hi Shift-E:

Thanks for the quick reply.

I saw the earlier post about this last night and changed my screen resolution to 1064x 768 from 1280x960 accordingly. No difference. I can PM you a screenshot if you'd like but the only thing that appears in that corner, with either resolution, is "Test Phrase". Most frustrating since all the other functions work perfectly! I didn't have this problem with earlier versions. If there is any other information I can supply just let me know.

Sorry. That's 1024. The 6 was a typo.

Hi CC,

If it's not too much trouble, please send me a screen shot of the window. Go ahead and send it to vacsupport (-at-) dwvac (dot) com. That will be a quicker reply.

Thank you,

Hi CC,

Got the picture. It's the Windows theme or font size setting on your desktop. The font size in the VAC titlebar window is so large it's pushing the other conrtols over the bottom buttons. There was a reason that I set the VAC Builder's window as a fixed size, but I can't remember why at the moment.

Anyway, if you change the Windows theme or font size on your desktop that should bring the buttons back in view. I'll look into the fixed window size in VAC and see if I can't make a better work around in a future update.

That is a nice Windows background picture by the way. :)

Great, Shift_E. Problem solved! I lowered the font size which I prefer large for aesthetic reasons and the buttons appeared. Glad it was such a simple fix!

Cheers, my friend. Thanks for the first-rate support.

Best Regards.
