Keyboard Tester

Postby bigmoe on Wed Feb 07, 2007 1:57 am

Can someone give me a run through on how to use the keyboard tester? I can bring it up and activate it, then when I type a key it lights up. I tried to speak a command to see it the proper keys were stroked, but nothing lights up. Is there a way to make sure the proper keystrokes are being activated on voice commands? I've got problems with LOMAC in that some commands work and some don't. When I use the test phrase button it says I get matches.

Hi Bigmoe,

In the Builder under Command Attributes increase the duration of a command to 1000. This will light the key for 1 second. When you are satisfied the phrases and keys commands are correct, reset the duration back the original setting.

In the Builder you can set the default value for the duration attribute and change all the commands at once, than reset the value to the default value and change them all back.

Thanks Shift_E, I'll give that a try. What a great product! I didn't realize until last night that you don't have to have a PTA key assigned, but can leave the mic hot all the time and assign nothing to the PTA. Thanks again.

Ah yes the dreaded PTA key, it is the feature I most regretted adding to VAC and the cause of most problems people have while using VAC. I never use it myself, PTD is much better, if needed at all. Okay, rant off. :)

Happy to help, I’m here for you. :smt023
