Purchasing info please, and another question.

Are there any other ways to purchase this program?

I have no desire to have a paypal account however should I decide to buy this I would enjoy knowing I can still purchase it without a paypal account.

Reason for this I was robbed using a paypal account.

Another question I have the Microsoft English Recognizer v5.1 speech engine installed from ED's Voice buddy which will not work for the game I want it to.

Does the VAC Full have the 6.1 engine or the same as what I have installed on it. Is there any advantages to trying to find the 6.1 version? Because I cant find an independent download of it and I don't have office 2003.

Thank for any help here on this, BTW the game I would like this for is BF2 1.4 patch.

Hi Grumpy

The answer to your first question is no, I only use Paypal as it allows the most cost effective means for VAC. I respect your views on Paypal as I have heard of others having the same problems, but it would cost way to mush to use a merchant account.

VAC full install comes with the MS speech 5.1 as it is the only one that Microsoft released in a redistribution package. VAC can use speech version 6.1, but I have not seen any advantages over 5.1.

You may want to ask in the BF game forums about using VAC, I know there are a couple of people that are using VAC for BF, but I don’t know the version of the game they are using. I don’t have the game so I’m no use. :P

Whoa Grumpy - sorry eh Gumby - I hope it wasn't a big amount. I must say I've been lucky in that respect although I allways find it a hassle to add money to my account and I hate the "security check"emails they keep sending me.

Did you give http://www.clickandbuy.com a check Shift_E? - I'm using this since some three months and am very satisfied with it. Adding money to my account eh prepay method is much easier and I have't heard a single complaint about C&B. It might bring in some more people. Many distrust paypal - sadly not without reason.
SAPI 6.1 : This might help:

download the office 2003 trial version, run the installer
deselect everything but the speech engine ;)

Thanks The both of you for responding.

I didn't actually loose any money, because I got to the bank before my account was drained of around $600. I could have though, but I noticed immediately that I got a email requesting a password change and I hadn't even been there he he. It took whoever 11 mins to order 2 cell phones and transfer money to themselves. All in all it worked out ok,but it was a very stressful time, and one I'd rather not repeat. But I can understand why now Shift_E that is your way.

TY for the tip MaXMhz, I'll try that.

Thanks again for the info.
