Not executing commands

Postby holeinone on Mon Jul 23, 2007 4:33 pm

I have installed VAC and am looking forward to using it. When I built my new profile I set up a number of programs to be launched. Also set up several commands like 'Mute' etc. When I test them in the VAC Builder tool the command is recognized. When I load VAC System, then the profile, then VAC on - I get no results after speaking the command. I know that my microphone is active as it illuminates when I turn VAC on. Have I missed a astep?

Shift_E - Again GREAT tool!!! I wonder if you have used it in combination with Auto Hotkey? It is an open source program that lets you script various actions and then assign a hot key. For example if I have Outlook open but minimized I have assigned a hot key of 'alt-m' to bring it to the front. I have now added a voice command of 'Show me my mail' that sends 'alt-m' and voila my Outlook is maximized. I have similar hotkeys for IE, Skype, MSN, Itunes etc, etc.
If the right script is developed and has hot keys assigned, there is no limit on what your program can accomplish.

Hi Holeinone,

Yes, VAC does work with AutoHotKey. You create the script in AutoHotKey, then within the Builder select Tools/Program Setup and select the 'add' button. Click on the dropdown box for File Type, select AutoHotKey and select the scpirt you created.

Now that the script is setup for VAC you can create an action and select the script from the Special Functions - Launch Program to execute for that action.

I do love AutoHotKey and use it all the time.
