Upgrading to new version

Why when your instructions say:-
To upgrade just install new version over the current version.
Do I get message:-
Another version of this product is installed please use add/remove programs to remove it ????

Sometimes InstallShield gets confused, most the time you can install over the older version. I'd follow the on screen instructions in this case though.

Hi Shift_E
Thanks for reply but still struggling.
There is no uninstall facility in add/remove prgrams nor in start programs
Vac systems, so should I just delete folder.
I am worried this may leave registry thinking it is still installed so I will be stuck with niether version.

Hey Aceweepop,

Sometimes I just want to hug InstallShield.

There should be an entry in Add\Remove Programs, but since there is not try this Windows Installer CleanUp Utility. Look for the entry 'Voice Activated Commands' and remove that, then you're install should work correctly.

Thanks Shift_E that worked a treat.

I had just spent hours trying to find a program to clean up my add/remove page because it was in a right mess, but all the ones I found were useless. The one you pointed me to is a bute and worked smashing.
My pc is purring and sends a big ta.XX
