2 Little things

Postby Lollypop on Mon Feb 14, 2005 5:21 pm

Hi Shift-E!

I think i encountered 2 bugs today. (Minors Though...)

First one (The least)
In the K-tester, If you have several profiles, it often hands the commands of the 2!
Especially with commands on the F-Keys (but not only...). Am i the only user with it ?
I've noticed it yet, but..

Second (""major"")
Again with 2 profiles. When you use a sound to valid the shift, it occurs the first time... and NEVER plays when you shift back. (I changed command and sound both in order to check if... but no.)

For St Valentine,
shall we test a... 1.4.0 ??

I'll check it out.

I also added VAC System creating a log file for each session. It's created in the instaled folder, you can check that to see what VAC System is doing.

LOL - You are really wanting version 1.4.0. :D

That would be fitting for Valentine Day. :D

I tested with two profiles. The first "Profile 1" I created an Action called "Change Profile" set a sound and the set the profile to change to "Profile 2". In "Profile 2" I set an Action called change profile and set it to change to "Profile 1" and set a sound.

When I called "change profile" using Profile 1, VAC change to "Profile 2 and played the correct sound. When I called "change profile" again VAC changed to "Profile 1" and played the correct sound.

Did you assign sounds to the change profile to both profiles? You assign a success sound to each action, so each action can play a different sound.

I've just tested the same way, and it worked.

But it seems my current profile n°2 bugs, over and over.
Everytime i change the sound file and make a test just after (i open VAC builder, do the modification, close Builder, call the command), ... It Crashes !!! Then i restart the VAC, make a second test; And fail.

I think i'm gonna have to Re-make my second profile, as it seems to be corrupted.

So, not the time for 1.4.0. Sooo Sad!

Here i come back! Again. " oh No!!! "

Profiles drives me crazy!!!
The test you 've done works fine. Mine works fine too.
But as soon as i add a new action (so a brand new line line in the .XML file) in the second profile.... BUMP! :?
Everytime i add something to a file wich sounds fine initially it turns to Horror. (Vac Builder or open the xml, drives to the same result.)

Wouldn't be there something rec in a config file or in the registry which notes the xml's characteristics??? its just as if the command line would be shifted, and the EXE gets all mixed up.
If i add or substract action line in profiles (even if i have regard for syntax file, with "meticulous-care" ), it gives just the same bug. One of the two doesn't play sound anymore or... crashes.

Once again,
I've just erased-reinstalled VAC & re-create two Prof. All fine
Added one action to the Second, i call the action so to change prof. ... Plouf!
I've noticed too that sometimes it continues to work just after modif, but if I exit from vac and restart... plouf-plouf. The first prof. (and VAC too) crashes as soon as i call the action. (I add, i start on the first prof with the "true label. Important?)

Boring, I know. (because i have tuned my profiles so fine, others things work great: I'd want to play with it now)

Sure, you have not the same ?

YES !

Finally, I got IT ! :D

I 'll told you about this new version. Don't Worry,

(About this, it would wonderful to have on your download's page a tiny version of the last exe without the help file. It take more 2/3 of file weight!!! and for 56k users like me... Aïe! Aïe! Aïe! ( Second F Word))

 "Plouf" : It's an onomatopoeia in F. (That's the terme in E?) It's the sound of something wich is falling in water...

 I 'm sure you got the meaning of Aïe... ( Pronounce Hay ...like in spanish!)

Sorry about the size, i tried to make it as small as I can. The smaller one is better than the 34 meg file.

I hope this new version isn't going to "Plouf". I made it version 1.4.0 just for you. :P

Let me know if that takes care of the problem. Also when you make changes in the Builder, you shouldn't have to exit VAC System and restart. It should now see the changes. :D
