Not working for me?

Postby Warbirds on Mon Mar 21, 2005 11:25 pm

I made a profile and activated it in the tray and turned on VAC but the profile does not work in game. I did not make a switch to turn VAC on and off yet, is that it?

Hi,

There are two programs with VAC. VAC Builder creates and maintains the profile while VAC System runs the profile that VAC Builder created. You should start VAC System and a microphone icon appears in the system tray, then right click on the icon and choose load profile from the menu, a blue "P" appears next to the microphone icon. Next choose "VAC On" from the menu and a green "O" appears next to the microphone icon. If your microphone is plugged in and turned on you should be good to go.

Here's a link to a thread with the same problem. http://www.airwarfare.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=235

You don't need a VAC switch, but if you wish to use the keyboard to turn the recogintion on and off you can.

Let me know if you are still stuck.

Thanks, yes I get those the p and the light but still will not work in game. I just wanted to test the software so I made a profile called "IL2" I set up one command "Autopilot", I set the key for the command "A" I clicked save. It shows in the list when I click on the mic in the tray and I pick it, I than turn on VAC. I go into game and say "Autopilot" but nothing happens. It will still go into "Autopilot" with the key but not the mic,

Hi,

Roger that.

In your reply you said you entered "A" as the command to activate autopilot. There is a difference between "A" and "a", "A" will send a Shift+a, which will not activate autopilot, unless you changed the autopilot assignment in the game. A good test is to assign a sound to the command, "C:\Windows\Media" has some good default sounds to assign. That way you'll get audio feed back when the command is recognized.

That was the problem. I had used a capital A. I changed to small a and it works fine. Thank you very much for your help.
