Activate staying on

Postby fishbean on Tue Apr 05, 2005 6:30 pm

First, great programme. Having a lot of fun with it in SH3. I also cannot get the " push to activate " key to work as it says: it stays on. I would really like to use my middle mouse button ( which I can configure as any key ) so that it's active when held down and deactivated when released.
cheers

Thank you, glad you like it. :D

Think of the VAC switch key assignment as a light switch, it will control if VAC is active or not. Think of the "Push to Activate" (PTA) as a microphone key or a Push to Talk key on a microphone. With VAC active or "On" the PTA key has function.

see this thread: http://www.airwarfare.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=376

let me know if that helps you out.

PTA control

Postby fishbean on Wed Apr 06, 2005 6:44 am

Thanks for the quick reply. I have the same problem as Polecat. There
seems to be some misunderstanding here. The problem is that the PTA
function isn't working as quoted:

"The assigned key must remain depressed while the command is spoken"

It doesn't have to remain depressed. One touch of the key will activate and it remains activated. Maybe this is the way it's supposed to work?

Hi Fishbean,

I see what you are saying, it's possible that version acted that way. It is suppose to work the way the help file reads.

I'll offer you the same offer I made with Polecat. I have made some changes to the PTD and PTA keys and if you email me, I'll send you the newest version to try out.

I'm sorry if I seemed hard headed, but I running on the newer version and was not seeing what you guys describe. I must have broke it in the 1.5.4 version, sorry about that.
