I am receiving an error 1935 when I attempt to install VAC, tried stopping windows installer in services, but option was not available, and advice would be most greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Hi Radman,

The two most common reason I found is a need for new XML to be install which you can get below:

And the error during installation is commonly caused by restrictions placed on your system by spyware blocking software such as Ad-Aware, etc. Try disabling the spyware software and reinstalling. You can enable the spyware software after the install.

This is assuming you are installing on a Windows XP system and you are trying to install VAC version 1.6.0.
