Hi Pigpen,
Okay, so VAC is on and the profile loaded, excellent. What I believe is happening in the game is the key used for PTA and the issued command from VAC is seen as a key combination, and then the command is not recognized in the game. For example: VAC’s PTA key is “R-Ctrl” and the action command is “t”, you press and hold “R-Ctrl” and issue the command, which sends “t”, the game sees “R-Ctrl” + “t” as the command. Use Notepad to test your PTA key, make Notepad active and issue a voice command with and without the PTA key. You should see the key sent in the Notepad window. That being said, what is working for users who which to use PTA is to use a mouse button like the middle mouse button for PTA, then assign a joystick button to the issue the middle mouse button. Mouse buttons and key presses are not being seen as key combinations in these games.
If you want to try VAC without the PTA key, use phrases instead of one word commands, it will make recognition faster and more accurate. You can make VAC pickier on recognition if you bump the Pronunciation slider in profile properties (see
http://www.dwvac.com/vactips.htm).
I hope this helps,
