Cant use the F Keys Sometime

Postby Judan on Fri Jan 13, 2006 5:32 pm

I was wondering why I can use the F keys for some commands, and other commands I want to set the F keys for, it wont show the F keys as being able to selete them.In CFS3 I got F6 for the pilot seat but when I want to set up crtl shift F7 for mixture rich, I can get the ctrl key in the Qualifier box, but I cant't get any F keys in the Extend key box.Is there a way to correct this.
Thanks Judan

Hi Judan,

You are correct, the builder has the limitation you are talking about. I need to change that. I'll work on it in the next couple of days and release an update.

P.S. There is a work around to make the key combinations work though. Make the first command a "Shift" key and select toggle, make the second command "Ctrl"+"F7" and make a third command a "Shift" key without the toggle selected (that will turn the toggle off).

Thanks for letting me know,

Hi Judan,

I had to review my notes and confirmed why I had added the toggle switch. I figured newer games may allow for more keys pressed at the same time for a function. So I added the toggle to handle the future, using the toggle you can simulate pressing as many keys as the game command needs.

The toggle is the way to handle multiple keys for commands so nothing really needs to be fixed.

Sorry for the confusions,
