F4AF Issues: VAC Works Fine, But not Inside Sim

I sure hope i can get online. I am stuck with satelite broadband right now. We have no cable, and are too far out for DSL to work. We've been ina fight to get cable out here for awhile, and are actually having some success, but the wheels of bueracracy turn very slowly. With the petition we have we should be able to get them out here, but I'm not looking for it to happen until next year at the earliest.

Heck, it will take me that long just to learn enough to be dangerous to my allies, much less dangerous to the enemy!

All these abbreviations and acronyms are driving me crazy. Everybody writes replies in code, and I have to go look up everything in the 700 page F4AF "Codebook" hehe

Sometimes I wish there was a VAC command for "Sentry Speak English!!!"

I'll learn it eventually, but right now I'm inundated with stuff and can't even fly 20 minutes without having to pause and write down a bunch of stuff to look up, and then it's hours before I find it. It seems like it'll take me to the 12th of never to learn enough to complete a mission. hehe

This VAC stuff is very cool. I tried Shoot, and that was an excercise in futility. Completely unuseable. It would issue random commands all by iself, would start slowing down, would issue the wrong commands even though it heard the right ones...oh brother...it was a mess. I had to rid my system of it.

I'm really glad I found VAC. I just got back from flying a bit, and every single command I used worked flawlessly. This is the way a program *should* work!

HeHe, I know what you mean 3D, I have joined an online squadron but as yet I have only flown once, as I do not deem myself competent enough to join them yet.

Nice one Shift_E. It might be worth dropping a line to Mark "Frugal" Bush, Owner of "Frugals World" with this persons IP address and details of his posts as I think his user name gives a lot away. With him bringing Frugals name into disrepute I wouldn't doubt that Mark will also ban him from Frugals world and if he owns a TM Couger, boy will that hurt.

Well done on the swift and very Appropriate action, there are a lot of mods who could learn from you.

A much better atmosphere! You're a great mod Shift_E. I also think that the members should also be commended for not feeding the Troll. If this Troll causes anymore problems here just let me know. I have a freind who is an Admin at Troll Hunter's and this one can be added to the list there with just an e-mail.

He also might want to change his profile before he gets reported to Yahoo by me for fraudulently using their service. I will give him until 10 pm EST to do that before abuse@yahoo.com gets an e-mail with the details.

Thanks for the quick reply. I just tested my e-mail and it seems to be working. I got your PM and you have and incoming PM. Either way is fine. It may have been just a random bounce, or they could've been resetting or working on the server. It works fine on my end now. It's however you want to do it. Whatever is convenient for you.

Edit: All I get in the VAC builder under "About" is VAC v1.8.2 This Version Is an Unregistered Version. It doesn't have e-mail or contact info.

On a negative note...

Since the troll has decided to continue his attack on me through his profile, and has not changed it. I have sent a e-mail to abuse@yahoo.com and have reported him.

He has passed one deadline to cease his attacks. The next deadline is 10pm tomorrow at which time I will go into work and use Advanced lookup tools and will get this users info, and he will be listed on Troll Hunters...a place nobody wants to be believe me. If he seriously wants to be listed there, he will find life very difficult online from that point forward. He will find that Ebay will deny him access. He will find that online transactions at many sites will cease, and he will find it extremely difficult to find another ISP that will allow him to carry out his online attacks.

This troll picked the wrong individual to play games with. I am leaving the choices entirely up to him...which is alot more than most people would do. I have no qualms at all about shutting down trolls like this for the long haul. They litter the Internet with their filth. We can take this as far as he wants to take it for as long as he wants. He hasn't yet learned that he cannot hide behind a KB, but he is about to find out...the hard way. I've set here patiently for 3 days, but my patience has wore out.
