THREE MONITOR VIEW PROBLEM!

Postby pilotsden on Thu Mar 16, 2006 4:47 am

a friend of mine that fly's il-2 /forgotten battles has a 3 monitor system and has a problem with view settings.
he cant get far enough back from the panel to see out. also when he goes to outside view the a/c carrier and aircraft are short stocky and mis-shapen.
is there a setting in the conif file to get these views to work
direct -x
2400x6x32 gives him his three screens.
if set to 1024x768 he only gets one screen.
any help in this matter will be much appreciated
thank-you

The only way to use 3 monitors with il-2 series id to use a Matrox Parhelia card and set Üse3Renders=1"in conf.ini This will not change anything if the card is not Matrox Parhelia (and it's not a gaming card and it's expensive. Just changing the x:y dimensions does not change the aspect ratio. It just "shaves off" top and bottom of the screen while this does look ok on some widescreen displays, it's not for a 3 monitor system.

No Problem. The line is added as the last one in the [window] section of conf.ini - see my annotated conf.ini file: http://members.home.nl/maxmhz/conf.ini.txt

hope this helps :)
