Only half my symbols change to MAT????

I have installed everything correctly. I currently have the FB series, and not the Pacific Fighters, so I am using both the MAT Manager and MAT
Everything "seems" to be okay, but I noticed the following:
When playing a campaign, my units Stab markings and emblems are all the default types (large size, and not weathered). BUT...the swastika and cross are the MAT versions. ALL other AI planes are totally perfect with all the correct MAT files.
Did I do something wrong here?
Also, when i am starting FB using the MAT Manager interface, FB starts before the MAT completes the file changes. I did save and start using the MAT program as oppsoed to the manager, and I still get the same problem noted above...
Ideas?
