New Toys New Question.

Postby NIGHTFIGHTER on Tue Apr 25, 2006 10:33 pm

Thanks to the 404 patch we now have some new toys, and boy are they nice. But my question is, is there a way these aircraft can be used in Single Missons or career missons, or is it a case of waiting for someone to produce said missions. :?:

Do you mean 4.05, the PE-2 add-on?

That version is, unfortunately, not available here across the pond.
But for the 4.04m that I have loaded now, i have found several single and career missions from the missions page on this website.
I loaded Zeus-Cats (sp?) 12 mission pack for the A6M2-N seaplane and its loads of fun. Flying under 100 meters, in a snow storm, to take out some allied air support puts you on the edge of your seat.

Thanks mudpuppy but i mean the recent one ie: the mossi, tempest, ect
i have downloaded two missions "mossimanea" and "release the tempest" but i was wondering if there was a way of getting these aircraft involved more in the single missons, and while ive got the chance to ask, can anyone tell me where do i download maps to i cant find a map folder, any help in this matter would be most helpful.

The best way to realise the potential of any new aircraft or objects within single missions, is through the Full mission builder, either by creating your own missions or editing missions you already have from another scource.

This may sound difficult but it's actualy really easy and quite alot of fun. Best way to find out hown that I've seen so far, is this tutorial http://www.jumpintojapan.com/index.html

After that you can use some of the "aftermarket" mission utiils like Mission Mate http://airwarfare.com/Sims/FB/fb_essent ... es.htm#028
Uberquick http://www.uberdemon.com/
QMT http://www.airwarfare.com/phpBB2/viewforum.php?f=21

QMT is not yet updated to be fully compatible with 4.04 but there's temp fix for it and that will be officialy updated soon , I hope.

There's a learning curve involved withe these tools too, but they include good tutorials.

Any maps you see for downloading are simply intended for printing out and having beside you to use as navigation aids, and can be easier to use than the ingame map. There is no place to put them. Maps (theater's) that are added to the game via patches for eg., are accesible through the Full mission builder.

you can edit the default campaign files to add in your favourite plane - see here

http://forums.ubi.com/groupee/forums/a/ ... 6601039043

then you can select to fly your plane when you start a campaign

you can also alter the planes you get during a campaign see here

http://forums.ubi.com/groupee/forums/a/ ... 9761014983

you will need to get the correct CODE for the new plane - it will be the same code as used in skin folder

complete plane list here

there is an update to the dgen that includes the newer maps and planes so that you can generate late war missions see here

good luck
