When o when are the merlin engined 'planes going to be patched/updated so they sound how they really are?

Anyone else in agreement with this?

Yep I agree, but it won't be this side of BoB, that's for sure. The sound in general (as far as engines and guns go) has been a disappointment for most of us for a long time.

Hopefully BoB will see it right!

I Agree too - but then I don't want to whine about it either. The whining about the sound is why it's so bad in the first place - the old IL-2 Sturmo sound engine was far better, but some people didn't like it and started complaining resulting in Oleg letting a so-called sound-whiz rewrite the sound engine and leaving us with an even more crappier sound You could fly IL-2 Sturmovik for a little better sound, but it won't get 1st prize either
The sound engine together with the still weak off-line campaigns are the weakest points in IL-2 series flight sims IMHO. - still - I can live with it and wouldn't want BoB even delayed for an hour to improve on them.
