IL2 1946: Console Command Query

Postby SDT_HAMMER on Sun May 11, 2008 9:47 am

Hi all
Had a look round several fora looking for the answer to this one and have failed to find it.

I want to play my own music within the game while taking off/flying and crashing and I know how to do that, my problem is the volume of that music is too low.
Within the console there is a music command and a VOL option within the music command.
It appears to be defaulted to a setting of 1.
My question is how do I increase the volume ?
I've tried music VOL 4 but get an error message saying volume gain (0...1) expected

Tried a few different methods and numbers when inputting the VOl syntax but with no success... can anyone help with a proven method that works please.

Hi Hammer! Welcome to Airwarfare!

Most activities regarding IL-2 take place on our sister site http://mission4today.com now.

I'm unaware of a volume console command, but here's music:

http://mission4today.com/index.php?name ... ow&kid=351
music [PLAY] [STOP] [BREAK] [VOL] [PATH <randpathname>] [FILE <filename>]

Keep in mind console commands are case sensitive.

Try Setup - Sound Setup in-game - there is a volume adjust for music there. This gets stored in the conf.ini file in the main game folder. Naturally your sound card mixer also has influence. (check the wave and master volume)

Check the knowledge base on M4T - I'm certain you will find answers to your questions there. :D
