Chain Commands Together?

Postby bike5 on Fri Jul 13, 2007 8:00 am

I don't think there is a way to do this but I hope I am wrong or if I am right I hope this gets added to the program.

I need to be able to chain actions together so after one has finished it fires another trigger. Or, allow the duration and pause to work independently for each command within the same trigger. I need a sequence of different keystrokes from one voice command but each keystroke needs a different pause time after its executed. Is there a way to do this currently?

Thanks,
-Danny

Hi Dan,

Yes you can do want you want in VAC. Each command in an action can have separate attributes from other commands in the same action. If you wanted to send 'hello' in an action you can create a command for each character 'h-e-l-l-o' in separate commands rather than the whole string 'hello' in one command.

I hope that answers your question,

Oh that is really cool, I thought the command attributes were globally for all the commands but they are not. So it does work. Thank you for the quick reply.

btw- great product here. I had game commander2 and this works way better. Not only does it execute the keys faster from when you say anything it seems to be more accurate too. It does execute a few weird things (voice commands that don't sound like clicking keys) when I am typing or mouse clicking loud but that may be a problem with the input volume being to loud. Also short one word commands seems to execute "accidentally" more often so I have to switch most commands to two words or a more complicated word but these are all no big deals.

Thanks,

-Danny

Hi Dan,

Thank you for your kind comments.

You shouldn't be getting false positives at all. Try running the microphone wizard to adjust the microphone volume.

One word commands can be a bit tricky, but you can improve the accuracy a great deal by adjusting the Pronunciation slider. Look at VAC Tips to see what I mean. Although a phrase of two or more words is the best to use for the action phrase.

Hi Gumby,

VAC uses SAPI 5.3 that comes with Vista and SAPI 5.1 to 6.1 in XP.

I was just curious Shift_E.

More importantly the profile I made works across all of them correct?

I haven't had any trouble since Lansershrek helped get me started.

I was just wondering though ,because I've had my knife come out at random times....(I must be breathing in to the mic) and then I have to give it another command to put it away.

Also as you suggested above in Vista, I don't see the accuracy screen like I've seen in your example. I wish I could tweak on mine, and maybe eliminate the knife poking out lol. oh well all is good.
Thanks much for your reply.
